The
Armenian sport union of hearing impaired was founded in April
2000 and approved by the Ministry of Justice. In 2005 it was
renamed into the Armenian sports committee of hearing impaired.
In May 2000, at the congress held in Greece, ASCHI was accepted
into the European sports organization of the Deaf (EDSO)
In July 2001, organization was accepted as a member of the international
sport committee of hearing impaired (CISS).
Having obtained an international status, ASCHI initiated an
active participation of its sportsmen in international competitions.
The first time in its history ASCHI conquered a medal.
